Mil-Rockie!!!

A couple of weekends ago I headed to Milwaukee to see Kaitlin. We enjoyed the Lakefront Brewery and hit up an Irish bar afterwards. I also found a guy who feels the same way about Minnesota as I do (I know I live here but I am a true Wisconsin girl, sorry).
The weekend went by so fast but we are planning on getting together in a couple of weeks again, so I'll get my Kaitlin fix soon enough!!

It's the little things...

I am quickly realizing my appreciation for good customer service through this wedding planning process. It definitely makes life easier to partner with make-it-right vendors... and I found a great vendor for printing our wedding invitations.
By taking on the task of making our own invitations I had to find a company that was able to print our invites and cut them to the right size. Luckily, I was referred to Cornerstone Copy in Burnsville. If any of you living in the Metro area are looking for a good printer, for whatever reason, I highly recommend connecting with Mary @ Cornerstone. She is AMAZING and is willing to do whatever it takes to get you what you are looking for. We had one little hiccup with our RSVP cards, but regardless, I emailed her the templates late last week and I had everything in my hands printed and cut to size TODAY!!!!!
Now if only I could get her to stamp, address, and mail them.... hmm.... ;)

7 Months to go!!

An email from the Knot came today... a friendly reminder that we are 7 months away from the big day!!! According to the website this month I should focus on selecting bridesmaids dresses (check), planning the rehearsal dinner (pretty much a check), and choosing a hairstyle (not a check). Do I really need to plan my hairstyle already? I was planning on leaving that to Morgan :)

Lucky Girl

Flowers for no reason but to say "I love you." Man... I'm a lucky girl!!! Thought I would share some pictures...

First Post of 2010

Happy first post of 2010!! And Kevin and I say... bring on the New Year!! I admit, we have had an amazing 2009 but we are ready to kick off the New Year and celebrate our wedding in 2010. Even though we rang in the New Year pretty laid back (I worked at Hilltop and then we sat around with my parents and sister and drank beer) but we are excited to dominate 2010 :)

We ended up spending the rest of the weekend in the Cities and were able to enjoy a few local favorites. Kevin drug me to "The Nook" on Saturday for burgers. As we drove by the hole in the wall I said to him "they make good burgers... THERE?!" Needless to say, I ate my words and an ENTIRE "Juicy Lucy" burger and I am not ashamed to admit it! The place is tiny, and the wait can be long, but it is well worth it! Great food and an easy going staff definitely put this place on the map!! My vote... 2 thumbs way up!
